Anyway, I'm happy to report that I am alive and well and currently working on a "paper" in lab. I passed my Original Research Proposal (ORP) which puts me one step closer to obtaining my Ph.D. Now, like I said, I'm working on a paper about my results in lab for publication. I'm processing data and I'm hoping this will not take too long. I have a 2nd exam coming up, my oral candidacy exam, but I won't worry too much about that until this paper is out.
Hhhm, what else?
Oh yeah, I'm totally addicted to "Heroes." My friend Don owns the first season and I've had it for several months and finally got a chance to watch... wow, I'm addicted! The plot is interesting enough, but I think what gets me the most is that part of it takes place in Odessa, TX, my hometown. Trust me when I say that Odessa is nowhere near that po-dunk. There are also zero trees, mountains, hills, and anything else that could remotely be construed as scenery. It's flatter than a pancake, but let me tell you, there is nothing like a West TX sunset...

Heroes is too dramatic for me. I need to relax at night... not freak out :P
it's amazing the different "abilities" they came up with - very creative!
